PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas!

Friends and Colleagues,

"It is both a privilege and a pleasure to serve as your 2024-2025 President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas. I sincerely appreciate your trust and support, as well as your unwavering dedication to our industry.

My message for my Term is “Change.”

Warren Buffett stated, “In a world of change, the ones who are adaptable will thrive.”

Changes possible in the future highlight a shift toward a more technology-driven, consumer focused mortgage industry. We hear about Artificial Intelligence and adapting to it, Remote work impact, which was huge during Covid, and how some companies are trying to go back to a in Office model and struggling. Appraisal change to a virtual and augmented reality could be possible in the future with potential impacts to appraisers.

The MBAC has made changes that members loved and changes that did not work out. I can make a promise to you today that I am not scared of change.

As your president, my goal is to enact change that will meet and uphold the mission statement. The changes I will bring to the Board should make it clear to all Members what your MBAC board is doing for you, and there will no longer be any question as to the reason someone in the Mortgage Industry should join MBAC. I am going to make these changes happen with the help of your new Board.

In conclusion, be prepared for more changes to come, and know that we are working together as a Board, various committees, and local associations to keep you informed, educated and up to date on the industry changes.

Thank you for being a part of the MBAC and I am excited to work with each of you this year.
